Restoring Your Innate Flow

A man turns on his tap, only to discover no water is coming out. He calls his neighbor, a medical doctor, who knows little about plumbing. The MD turns the tap on and off a few times, listens to the faucet with his stethoscope, takes an x-ray of the faucet and swabs under and around the faucet handle. Diagnosis: A severe case of “Oxiponiosis” (by the way “oxi” is greek for “no” and “pon”indicates flow)

Distraught, the man turns to this MD neighbor and asks “Doctor, is there a cure?”

“Why yes there is indeed” replied the MD as he whips out a prescription pad and writes an order for a daily delivery of bottled water to the man’s house to satisfy his “Oxiponiosis,” or lack of H20. Thus the issue is resolved, medically.

But… the man wants his OWN water, produced from his own pipes like he enjoyed before. Unsatisfied he calls upon his other neighbor, a Chiropractor, who lives by a principle of locating and addressing root causes.

The Chiropractor, upon arrival also notes the faucet is running dry. He then proceeds to open the cabinet under the sink to evaluate the inner pipes of the sink and finds no obstruction. Knowing the source of must be interfered with somewhere, he continues to check the pipes of the house until he finds an obstruction in the water main, some distance from the waterless faucet. Finding the source of obstruction, he clears the blockage and instantly water flows naturally and the faucet again works–problem solved! And the man is happy again with his water working.

I came across the story above while reading from an original chiropractic text published in 1925 by Dr. Palmer – the developer of the Chiropractic profession.

Even though the story itself is almost 90 years old, it still rings true today. The United States still leads the World in Prescriptive and Illegal drug use. We take 75% of all medications produced for the world, yet make up only 5% of the worlds population.

Think about that for a moment. That statistic shows that, as a nation, we don’t ask for the cause when it comes to our health problems. Chances are you are the minority, obviously because you are reading this and, hopefully, actively working on correcting your nerve system interference, your diet and working to rid your body of toxins. However, nine out of ten people you meet wont be! They will be just fine with simply living their life, thinking they are doing the right thing, thinking that daily bottled water delivered is the only solution to a non working faucet. Laugh at it all you want… I bet you have at least one person close to you who is living like that.

Synthroid for an underworking thyroid? Blood pressure pills for an over pumping heart? Allergy medication for a leaky faucet? Metformin/Glucophage for too much sugars in their system?

The moral of the story… Don’t settle for substitutes (lifetime prescriptions) for something you innately possess (normal physiological function). Instead, find the obstructing cause to why your body isn’t working as it should, remove the interference and allow for good health to flow naturally.

If God has placed the name of someone on your heart while reading this blog, I encourage you to stand in the gap and tell them about our work. Any of our upcoming events is the best way to get them connected with finding the cause. Chances are that’s exactly how you found us in the first place!

Addressing root causes, finding a pardon from the life sentence on medication and becoming your own doctor are the running themes in our work. Comparing us to medical doctors, who are fairly securing in knowing that their “customers” will be with them for a lifetime, it can be a bit stressful for us from a business perspective. We heal people, and teach them how to heal themselves. Then they go off into the world and they don’t need us anymore.

Every one of them is like our kids (even though they teach us a lot too!) who we set off into the world, knowing that we taught them how to fend for themselves. It can be bittersweet, but that’s our commitment–real health over band-aid solutions.
