You know you get those cravings every once in a while, when you pass a fast rood restaurant you used to like, or smell that distinctive odor of fried foods as you walk down the street. Well, you can still have your old favorites and keep them health-conscious while you’re at it. Try this amazing onion rings recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, sliced into 1 inch rings 2 eggs
  • 1⁄2 cup almond flour
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • Sea salt and pepper
  • Coconut oil

In one bowl, whisk eggs. In another bowl, combine flour and seasonings.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Dip onion slices into eggs, then dip into our mixture and place on baking sheet. Bake in oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

If you prefer to fry them on the stovetop, do it over medium heat in 1⁄2 an inch coconut oil until golden, approximately 3 minutes per side.
