Parasites are an all-too-common invader that we don’t give a lot attention to. Possibly because parasites that do the most damage are microscopic. They can spread through food, physical touch and/or airborne methods. Often you will never know you have been exposed because you don’t feel a parasite. However, there are a multitude of physical symptoms that are directly related to parasites. Some people even believe this is the cause of all disease. Parasites love to hide. They hide in joints, lymphatic tissue, and organs- specifically the gallbladder and liver.
How do you know if you have been exposed?
Functional comprehensive blood chemistry labs can show us if you could have parasitic toxicity based on the differential reading of your white blood cells – specifically elevated Eosinophils.
Common Symptoms:

When do you do a cleanse?
Cleaning parasites should be a part of your regular health maintenance. At the minimum a deep cleanse should be done 4 times per year no matter how clean you eat. Regular dietary influences, adding the foods above, can support your body in between cleanses. However, the ultimate focus should be clean out your terrain. Parasites love to live in a toxic environment that is filled with heavy metals, toxins/chemicals also including other parasites.
They will invade and put up a home if the terrain is just right. The favorite environment for a parasite is someone with a low immune system, low glutathione, interrupted detoxification pathways, poor eating habits, and specifically a physical, mental, and emotionally stressed body. In efforts to remove parasites, one must obtain a diet change including organic whole foods including lots of fruits and vegetables while eliminating dairy, grains, and alcohol.
It is important to be committed to the cleanse once you begin. Parasites have life cycles. They invade the territory and will reproduce quickly. When doing a cleanse, it is important to kill the host as well as the eggs. In this case, it can take up to several weeks to kill them. A typical routine is to do a 10-day cycle of taking the supplements (“ON cycle”) and then a 7-day cycle of not taking the supplements (“OFF cycle”), then repeating ON/OFF cycles.
This needs to be done as many times as needed until. If the terrain is toxic as described above, then additional supplementation might need to be addressed to ensure the parasites do not reinvade. To ensure success of your cleanse it is critical that you include daily consumption of raw pumpkin seeds, raw pressed garlic, papaya seeds, raw beets, and raw carrots.
The best time to do a parasite cleanse is around the full moon cycles. During the full moon we tend to produce less melatonin and more serotonin, which the parasites are attracted to. Often if you do have parasites, you will notice your symptoms getting worse around the full moon. Because of this, it is recommended to start the cleanse a few days prior to the full moon to get the best benefit.
Cornerstone Health Center Protocol Supporting Parasitic Detoxification: Bioterrian Mend: 2 packets per day
Biofilm EO: 1-2 capsules per day with food
Cellular GSH: 5 ML per day
Bioimmune: 4 capsules per day
Xeneplex: 1 suppository every three days (alternate with glytamin)
Glytamins: 1 suppository every three days (alternate with xeneplex)
Clinical Pearls while clearing toxins:
Parasite die off can sometimes make you feel worse before you feel better. Parasites are very toxic and can release byproducts (candida/yeast) as they die off. Common reactions to die off can include headache, nausea, constipation and/or diarrhea and fatigue. It is critical that your detoxification pathways are open at all times, and you stay properly hydrated.
Your lymphatic system is is responsible for shuttling toxins out of the body. This system is commonly clogged when parasites are present and is usually the cause of skin rashes/irritations/acne and even anxiety. The body cannot get the toxins out fast enough therefore will try to push the toxins out through the largest organ- the skin.
Chronic toxic stress can also impede the ability of the lymphatic system by creating more cortisol in the body and creating a cyclical effect of symptoms such as depression and anxiety.
If you notice your bowel movements reduce as you start the program, it is encouraged to add regular enemas or suppositories to your cleanse. Since everything filters through the liver and kidneys, regular liver and gallbladder suppositories support the natural detoxification of the liver and regular juicing of fruits and vegetables can help add extra enzymes to support the kidneys and bowels.
Yeast is a byproduct of parasites. Therefore, it is critical to follow low carbohydrates diet and add apple cider vinegar (ACV) to your water to help flush out yeast overgrowth. ACV enemas can also help flush the bowels out from stagnant yeast (1/2 tsp of ACV to 2 cups of warm water).
ACV enemas are meant to cleanse and only to be held for a short period of time- as long as you can- before eliminating. To add additional support your lymphatic system, use regular Epsom salt baths, infrared saunas, and dry skin brushing as needed.
As with any detoxification process, it takes time. It can take weeks to months to recover from a parasitic invasion especially if there are a multitude of other toxins in the body.
Remember you didn’t get this way over night, and it would not be fair to expect your body to detox that quick either.
Be kind to yourself and give yourself grace. Healing is a journey not a destination.
