This is a great way to start your feasting periods during an intermittent fasting regimen. This greens drink is high in minerals that you need when detoxing; it easily replaces any electrolytes that you may have exhausted from any activity whether it is working in the yard or playing a round of golf. An added benefit is the anti-inflammatory effects of the ginger or turmeric.
Ingredients:
1 C spinach
2 stalks celery
1/2 C diced, seeded cucumber
1/4 C fresh watercress
1 T fresh lime juice
1 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 t minced fresh ginger or turmeric root
1 t lime zest
1 t xylitol or stevia (to taste)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree.
Make extra and keep it on hand in the refrigerator.
