Ashwagandha
Ashwagandhais a powerful anti-inflammatory herb that can aid in the reduction cortisol in the body which helps offset negative effects of stress. By reducing inflammation, Ashwagandha also lowers blood sugar levels, soothe anxiety, restores adrenal fatigue and boosts the immune system. Studies also shows that the herb may help fight against direct skin inflammation. Ashwagandha is available as a supplement and tea. It’s most well-known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, and it’s also found in many blended organ supplements.
Calendula
Calendulais one of the strongest anti-inflammatory herbs often used to make tinctures, compresses, teas and creams. (It’s the main ingredient in Thera cream, one of Dr. Ernst’s therapeutic products.) It’s mostly applied topically to reduce inflammation and provide powerful antioxidants to the skin, but can be taken orally. The power comes from its high concentration of linoleic acid content, which studies suggest is a natural remedy for issues like dermatitis, ulcers, sore throat and diaper rash. Calendula can also used for fighting off active infections and promoting overall oral health.
Cilantro/Coriander
This common Mexican dish herb is packed with incredible antioxidants, specifically quercetin. When consumed helps settle digestive issues, reduce oxidative stress and promote detoxification of heavy metals and toxins. It can be juiced and consumed directly or via the seeds of the cilantro plant, coriander spice which has exceptional anti-inflammatory properties found to reduce likelihood of overall disease and even cancer. Fenugreek
Fenugreek is another powerful anti-inflammatory herb with many benefits for digestive and cardiovascular health. It has been shown to reduce inflammation of the stomach(acid reflux, ulcers, upset stomach) and has been shown to improve other conditions like bronchitis, chronic cough and metabolic disorders. Fenugreekis often in supplemental form as tinctures, capsules or powders. Fenugreek tea is also available, and topical creams are available for skin and hair.
Licorice Root
Licorice root is an adaptogenic herb used for centuries due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It’s mostly known for gastrointestinal issues, coughs and colds, and heartburn. Studies indicate that its power comes from the ultra high flavonoid content, in addition to naturally occurring coumarins and stilbenoids.
Oregano
This Italian herb is actually a descendant of mint! It has been considered a healing plant for over 2,500 years in Asian/Indian medicine and the list of oregano benefits is too long to list fully here. It is most known for its antibacterial properties (stronger than most prescriptive antibiotics) and has been shown to treat respiratory issues, ease indigestion and also fight viral/parasitic infections. Parsley

Rosemary
